Australia gets a World Champion over 400m Hurdles

Australian Jana Rawlinson prevailed over defending champion and world record holder Yuliya Pechenkina in the 400 meters hurdles at the track and field world championships.

Rawlinson,2003 champion ran 53.31 seconds to be the first person to beat Pechenkina in 2007.

Pechenkina went home with silver in a time of 53.50 and Anna Jesien of Poland took bronze with a 53.92.
